Mommies little helper

Hello all,

I know I have been missing for a while, but I have still had such a wonderful time keeping up with all of you!

Hopefully I have made it easier to comment because I have taken the "robot" verification thingy off.....lol

Noah has always loved to help with vacuuming. Below are a few pictures of him helping me clean the floor in the cats room.

Anyway.....Noah loves to vacuum, and SAMs club has a toy dyson vacuum! I think it is adorable and Noah would love it, but what do you think?

Is it crazy to get him a play vacuum?! I was gungho on getting it at first, but my husband thought it was silly. Usually I wouldn't care what he thought, but now I am wondering.

He is obviously getting other things for Christmas, but I just thought he would love it because it is almost exactly like the one I use.

So, what do you all think? Am I nuts, or should I get it?! Thanks for your help!

Talk to you later.....Jordan

Adjusting

Now that we have moved back to Shelbyville, my little man is having a lot of things to adjust to. He started a new childcare and I am super excited about it, but I know he is trying to get used to it still.

His new childcare fills out daily reports on how he eats, sleeps, as well as wet and dirty diapers.

His first day he clung to me like a spider monkey and bawled and screamed for his mommy and I had to leave him. It was difficult, but I know it would only make it worse to stick around or to try and comfort him longer. He didn't eat much, except for snack time....I think he was probably starved by this time. He only slept for an hour, which is highly unusual for him, because he will normally sleep for 3 hours, if you will let him. My grandmother picked him up from school for me, but my sister went to get him from her and she took him to Walmart. They had a good time together.

He has been progressively getting better. He is crying less, eating and sleeping more!!!

Another adjustment is his new house and new room. I am not sure he is adjusting very well. This big new house with all of this room to run is just killing him. The video below will show just what a difficult time he is having.

See what I mean. He is just not adjusting well to his new house at all. In truth, Noah has had zero problems adjusting to his new house. My grandparents were worried he wouldn't like being so far away from our room, but I don't think he could care less.

I can't wait for Noah to get used to his new childcare center so that he will be able to enjoy playing with all of the kids and getting to know his grandparents who are helping us out! I know my sister had a good time with Noah when she "rescued" him, as she likes to say......lol

There are so many great things about moving back, but I am most excited that I am going to get to host Christmas at my house! I have never been able to do this before, so I am pretty excited.

I hope you are all having a great week!

Talk to you later.....Jordan

Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday

Hello

Hello all,

Sorry I have been MIA. I have been through several weeks of training for my new job and we just moved! I will be so glad when all the training is over.....I am learning a lot though.

I have to go back next week for three days. I am excited for the learning aspect but not so much about leaving Noah again!

He did pretty good the first week, besides the double pink eye and black eye that he got.........thanks to my husband letting him fall in Kroger. Men don't seem to understand that no matter what small length of time your child is in a store you should put them in a cart or hold them. MEN!

The Sunday night before I was supposed to leave Noah had a rough nights sleep. I told Andrew just to bring him to bed with us, thinking that would be better.......not so much!

He tossed and turned and flailed his arms and ended up smacking me in the eye. Luckily I didn't get a black eye, but I sure was tired for my over two hour drive the next morning.

Before I was able to get on the road he heard me getting out of bed and started crying for me. I was so heart broken to have to leave him, but his dad finally got him to calm down.

He has done a little bit better after the first two weeks I was gone, but he is super clingy when I get back. He is so mommas boy right now!

He has a lot to adjust to these days with a new house, me being in and out for training, and a new daycare. I know he will get used to it and I am so thankful everyone else feels that way to!

I will try to write soon about his progress.......if there is some soon!

Here are a few random pics to leave you with.

A little bit of everything

I have had quite a bit going on lately and have not gotten around to posting, so here is a little bit of everything that I have been up to lately.

Last friday I put in my two week notice at work.....however since I left for a competitor, I was able to leave that day. I knew in advance that I would be leaving early, so Andrew and I planned a day with Noah. We first went to Wild Eggs and then to the Louisville Zoo! Noah really enjoyed everything but was a little tired, so he was a little moody too. It seemed like all of the animals were very sleepy, but the polar bear was very active and so fun to watch.

Friday night I got to go see Wicked with my mother in law, sister in law, and some other of her family and friends. It was AH-MAZE-ING!!!!!

Saturday was a busy day as well. My sister had me help her throw her best friends surprise (early) birthday party. It was 80's themed and turned out great. We all dressed in 80's outfits, danced to some music and ate some food, while the kids ran around in the yard.

Sunday my dad's fiance, my sister and I went dress shopping! We had such a great time. Ame (my dad's fiance) found the most amazing dress. I can't wait for my dad to see her walking down the isle, I have a feeling he might have a little tear in his eye. Carissa and I were also able to find dresses. We are going to stand by our father and Ame's son is going to stand next to her. I really am so excited and can't wait for the big day!

Aren't these the cutest?

Our dresses will both be brown, but they did not have them in very many sizes at the time, so they are ordering one for us! We are going to wear boots with our dresses along with the bride. It is going to be so fun and cute!

I started my first day of training for my new job today, at Old National. It was very exciting, but I am also a little sad because I have to be away from my family for two weeks. I am already super bored and missing my little and big man, but I am so glad that I am doing this for us.

So that is a little bit of everything I have been up to lately. Have a great week everyone.

Noah is almost 2

Noah is only 4 months away from being 2..........ahhhhhh!

I know I will be so excited for him and can't wait to see the new milestones that he will achieve, but it goes to FAST!

My little man is growing so much and learning new things every day. He is learning his ABCs, his 123s and watching my every move.

He knows where his head, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, belly and feet are.

He is now able to open the door to his room by himself. I so don't want him knowing how to open all doors yet!

He is still fairly average in size and a pretty picky eater.

Noah is wearing 18-24 month clothes and a size 5 or 6 in shoes. He is trying to figure out how to take his diaper off and get his clothes off, but luckily he is not quite there yet.

He can go number 1 and 2 on the potty, if only his aim were a little better! He loves to play outside and throws a fit if I am ready to get in the car to go home and he is still playing. God love him, that little boy loves the outdoors.

He knows how to say so many things I can't list them all, but some of his favorites are: Ya Ya (this is what he calls his cousin Wyatt), uh oh, where'd it go, I don't know, momma, dada, dog, cat, and bye bye.

Noah,

I am so proud of you and cant believe how much I love you! You are the sweetest and happiest little boy, most of the time. I love that you know you are supposed to give me a good night kiss after I sing your song! I never knew that having a child could be so amazing and that my love would be able to grow every day. I am always amazed by what you learn. I love you so much baby boy and I am so proud of you.

Tennessee for the Holiday

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted. We have been just a little busy getting my house ready for an open house this Sunday! Pray it goes well, we are so ready to move!

Last weekend my sister's family and mine went to Tennessee! We stayed in a cabin in Pigeon Forge and we also visited Gatlinburg.

We had a great time and spent way to much money, but it was so worth or for the family time!

My husband was actually able to get off work and go with us.....in truth it was his idea.

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back. There is so much to do....but we did get to go to the Aquarium, ride the sky lift, go to a family friendly clean comedy show, and visit the Titanic Museum!

Here are some pictures of the fun times.....I hope you enjoy!

Last weekend

As anyone from Louisville Kentucky knows, this week has been state fair week!

My dad and his girlfriend (Ame) were planning on going to the Rascal Flats concert together. When my dad told me and my sister, we basically said he stinks and we were jealous that we were not going. My dad told his girlfriend and she didn't hesitate to invite us!

Woohoo! We had such a great time.

Edens Edge, The Eli Young Band, and Little Big Town opened for Rascal Flats. We missed Edens Edge, but saw the other two and they were excellent!

The Eli Young Band was really good and had some great energy!

Little Big Town has always been one of my favorites, and now that I have seen them in person, I am loving them! I think it says a lot when you know a band is just as good live as they are on the radio/cd.

They even took a Lady GaGa song, "I was born this way," and rocked it out Country style. It was pretty amazing!

When Rascal Flats came on, the whole crowd went crazy. They put on one heck of a show. One of the guys had his kids hand prints on his guitar with the words, we love you daddy. They also took two young girls up on the stage while the band performed.....what lucky little girls. It really made us all smile and say ahhh!

Here are some of the pics. We had great seats!

They loved to let the crowd sing parts of the songs!

Rockin out!

If there are any country music fans out there, who have not seen Rascal Flats, you must go see them if you get a chance! I can't wait to see them again, and Little Big Town. What a great weekend!

Write you later.....Jordan
